Blog 12 – January 2024 – Manta Paradigm & Celestia Staking

This is a short update to tell you what I’ve done this month – 2 key plays. Manta Paradigm (along with Layer Bank), and Celestia Staking (along with MilkyWay & Demex), and very small staking positions in both Atom and Osmosis.

Manta Paradigm

I’m not going to go too much into this as I did this on the 2nd of January – missing the December window. I deposited my $500 USD for this month, converted to Eth, and along with other Eth I had on other chains combined to deposit 0.26 Eth to the new paradigm.

Along with this I did the following network activities to try and qualify for a potential airdrop(s):

  • I bought a .manta address. Specifically happycryptowanderer.manta
  • I bought one of the new paradigm NFT boxes for .01 (the cheapest box)
  • Deposited the 0.26 Stone to Layer Bank
  • On layer bank I then borrowed about $115 USD against my stone balance to accrue points.
  • My points balance for layerbank is below:

Celestia Staking (with a small amount of Atom & Osmosis)

I should start by saying, this is another $500 that is added. Again, outside criteria but I feel the need to make up for lost ground in December. This brings the total added for the month to $1,000.

In addition to this, I have sold 150,000 $Brett for just over 2 Sol and converted this to $220 USDT on Jupiter. I then transferred this along with the $500 added to Kucoin, and bought the following. The biggest allocation being TIA which forms the bulk of the airdrop strategy.

I transferred these tokens out of Kucoin and into my kepler wallet, which I set up earlier on as part of my Akash investment. With these tokens I did the following strategy:

So I staked 10.1 celestia to Milky Way which gave me 10.1 milktia. I then took 5 of these milktia and deposited them on Demex which is another potential airdrop. I then borrowed 0.25 tia against this position – which is a small position, albeit it adds as a transaction and will hopefully be beneficial in accruing points. You can see my position below:

For the remaining tia, I staked these with validators outside of the top 10 and non centralised. There have been airdrops in the past which have excluded these stakers. I also staked the Atom and Osmosis with similar criteria. My staked positions below:

Along with staking, people recommend voting on proposals. Again, voting in the past on proposals has actually qualified for some airdrops. I don’t think it matters what you vote, but it encourages participation. I will try vote a couple of times a month.

And thats it, we sit and wait for airdrops….. I think its that easy. Frustratingly I missed the Dymension airdrop by a couple of days. But I am hopeful there are more coming. One final thing to post on Celestia which I think sums it up well:

It goes without saying nothing on this site or anything associated with Happy Crypto Wanderer is or should be taken as financial advice. This site tracks the hopeful journey of one everyday punter just trying to live out a dream. Come back here every month so you can track the journey. Any and all feedback is much appreciated. If you feel so strongly that you’d like me to stop at any time, a large enough donation to this wallet so I can reach my goal could make all this disappear.
